Exactly. You all keep complaining about Jon's voice, but you won't let him do what he wants to and should be doing with the current circumstances: good, chilled out acoustic music. We'd have quality music, mixed with some TLFR renditions (Bad Medicine, YGLABN,...), Stand Up Guy songs, DA stuff, it'd be brillant and respectable. However, you find that 'boring' and prefer to see him stuggling to breathe let alone sing night after night.

Re Always in itself, there is an inbetween version he could do. Being a singer, I don't see how he hasn't tried it yet. He could keep the original version and modify the parts that sound awful ('dars don shine' and so on). We'd then have a listenable take on Always...but then again, you'd complain anyway 🤣

But flipped around, you're complaining that he's not doing what you prefer he do, chilled out acoustic music that's quality. If you're complaining that he's not doing what you want you can see why people complain that he's not doing what they want too.

Always is their biggest worldwide hit so I feel like it's something that definitely ought to be played... Perhaps take it down another semitone and see how that sounds?

Keep it, but let it go through the same transition as Livin In sin and In These Arms from E to D. I'm quite suprised he hasn't done it already.

Not what I want, it's what he can do realistically at this stage in his career. You're the ones complaining that he can't sing crazy songs like original Always 😂

....But he can't. It's not like we're finding things to complain about. He's killing his voice.

Think maybe you haven't read my previous posts. I agree totally that he's killing his voice; but he's doing it because most of his 'fans' won't let him do what he realistically can (acoustic/alternative renditions) 😉

I love original Always as much as you guys, but why not do alternative versions of songs he can't do (there are quite a few...), sing some easier ones and do something different?

Since the TLFR, people won't take anything that isn't original Always, Prayer, Bad Medicine, LYHOM,...it's all on this board. The majority also find Jon's acoustic stuff (something that he objectively does very well and doesn't strain his voice on) boring and don't want to hear it.

Why do you think THINFS is the same old once again? Because his acoustic stuff had negative feedback from the fans.

Create a poll: original Always or tuned down acoustic version? Hopefully people have finally changed their minds...

TLFR wasn't proper acoustic stuff, the acoustic performances from that tour are actually highly appreciated amongst fans.

And THINFS is more or less the same old due to a combination of the same producer and the musicians being relatively bland when it comes to creating new sounds.
