Crush is SUCH a good album. I absolutely love the first 8 tracks that I ranked.

On certain days or moods this can temporarily be my 2nd favorite Bon Jovi album... but most of the time it's third behind These Days & KTF. This was the last time, IMO that their experimentation really worked. The solo and na's at the end of Next 100 Years is way too ballsy for them now. God forbid, we have instrumentation without lyrics for longer than a minute. The funny thing is, Crush gets a bad wrap for being too pop. And though it was certainly more pop influenced than anything before it, it certainly wasn't safe... with the exception of TYFLM. That was a safe ballad. It is just a great album! Even the b-sides make a far better album than what we've heard from them in a while.

Plus, it was a great time to be a fan. From mid-90s until 2000 Bon Jovi was joke in the US. It was hard being a fan. They had put out one too many ballads and they looked like a bunch of girls compared to Metallica and more "serious" musicians... I was in HS from 96-2000 = bad age/time period to call Bon Jovi your favorite band. But IML had come back written all over it and it was the perfect time for it. Anyway... I'll shut up. Here are my ratings from worst to best:

Crush is the album with the most songs missing off my Ipod.

The album feels just so dull to me. Its My Life comes thudding in then its followed with the piss poor SISO then dreadful TYFLM. These songs are such a let down after its fantastic start.

IML is definitely the one-off, over produced (perfectly produced in this case) single that doesn't fit the album. The rest of is it diverse but I think it is woven together pretty well, particularly the middle of the album (2ST, NHY, JO, MT)

I like SIIS. It was different for them and we haven't heard anything like it since. The lyrical content is very good IMO... very different from anything we've gotten in a long time. And at the time I thought Thank You was great... it took a year or 2 for me to realize it doesn't hold up with BOR, Always, or TAALS.

I became a Bon Jovi fan because of Crush, It's My Life was the very first song I heard from them, I love the whole album and it's my favourite one above all the others and I really mean it, its B-Sides and Bonus tracks are pretty awesome, specially Neurotica and Stay. IMO there's no bad song on it, I like the all! ... but, if we have to grade them, then this would be mine:

Crush is very special album for me. Because of this album I am a Bon Jovi fan. I was 16 when I discovered BJ for myself. It was my first BJ album what I listened, I borrowed it from my cousin.
I love TYFLOM, after hearing it seeing the video, I started to like BJ. I searched everthing about the band and from me first pay check in 2001 summer, I bought albums TD KTF and NJ. It was great time. Now 27 and still in love with BJ music.
Crush is strong album, but it is still growing in me. I like to listen it. But I have say Crush isn´t so my album as NJ , TD or TC, but this is one of the thing, I like about Bon Jovi. Every album has something different and new.
I love Just Older. 10 years ago I played it over and over again. I still love it. Say It isn´t So is funny song and something different from other Bon Jovi songs. IML is very good song, but for me overplayed. Next 100 Years, Saved the World have some kind of magic, I can´t explain it .
I like Captain Crash, it is good, but people are bored of it after seeing it so many times in live. Even though it is great live song. I have to say it is good to wave with 50 000 people
Almost everyone hate She´s a Mystery, but I like it. It isn´t bad song…

Hush and Stay are very very good songs. These should have been on the album.

Went on a bit of a Crush binge due to this thread, and I must say I still think the SIIS video is the best on the band has ever done.
