I'm wondering the same. If this ever happen it will sure put the stone on their grave.

They could get a little help, like let David sing a song or play more acoustic/TLFR renditions... I hope they do it, because yeah I'm not optimistic either.

Maybe singing Always wasn't the smartest move on opening night. Is his voice so bad that one song could cause such a rapid decline only a few shows later? Or would this have happened regardless?

This is just heartbreaking. I don't know what to say anymore.

But I don't see them cancelling at all. Most of us guessed that this first leg was Jon testing the waters, hell he said as much. Fans that don't know better don't expect great vocals from an "old" man. And from what I read on social media, most of the audience are female fans who are more than happy to see Jon flashing his million-watt smile and playing the hits.

Please, don't interpret this as an insult to casual fans. I actually think it's really good that many fans enjoy this BJ. Let the boys wrap this leg and take a long break. Europe and the rest of the world can wait.

I want them to have a final tour where everybody is healthy and they are enjoying themselves. Better to spread this tour for as long as possible and go out with a bang

And I hope that when there is a final tour, Richie comes back... but that's another discussion for another time

He can't sing anymore, there's no polishing over that.

I kinda feel sorry for him but then realise he's charging people a fortune to go and watch him sing terribly while clinging onto a mic stand.

I don't think it's a matter of ripping people off... He's putting on a 2.5 hour show and most people love it and can't wait to see it again...

My fear is that his voice is just going to collapse... Even his 'Is there a doctor in the house' sound weird...

At 55, I don't know what's driving him anymore... Money? Breaking Records? An F U to critics? A see Richie, life goes on without you??? but he needs to charge a little less and do shorter sets, maybe 1/2 acoustic and 1/2 rockin...

Default Great Concert

I was there last night and I don't think the videos are doing him justice. The concert was great. He sang his heart out and the crowd loved it. I haven't had that much fun at a concert in years. There was so much energy in the place at the end and I actually liked how he progressed from the lesser known songs to the more well-known songs. I also liked his stories, there was something about the whole set up that felt very intimate, like we were in a small venue not a huge one and I really appreciated that they were able to create that feeling. Anyway - everyone I saw left smiling so I think it was easily worth the $$.

Exactly.

It's pretty clear that his vocals chords are very fragile at the moment and they don't handle 2+ hours of singing every two days. When this happens, your vocal chords don't recover from the last show like they used to before.

The bad news is ... judging by the way he's straining and his voice is behaving, this is permanent. I think he will have to resort to surgery if he wan't to carry one.

He had some troubles during 2003-2007, but it's nowhere close as this now.
