That's not true - they played Glad All Over. Which was a tour premiere .

Don't mess with my, Thierry. I'm am so fcukin' pissed I can't see straight! That song sealed it. The reason for not playing the Jovi songs that the diehards want over here is because the casual fans don't know them. But they'll play Glad All Over which almost no one in the crowd knows. WTF?! It has gotten zero reaction every time I've seen it.

Yeah, considering you have people coming from overseas just to be here, it's pretty lame. I hope those who did scheduled time for extra days so they can go to New York or do something worthwhile.

EDIT: Your Glad All Over comment is a great point too. They don't have the balls to play TD songs in the States because "no one knows them", but they'll play that piece of shit?

Like I said in the official thread, a ****ing mess on every level. No magic, no energy, no passion. Not a damn thing.

As someone has said its bringing back memories of Hull for me but that was Hull, not ****in Bon Jovi in their hometown!!! Just can't really believe what i'm reading here. Glad all over is a bad medicine cover song at best (if that) it certainly does not belong in the Encore!!!

Sort it out boys and fast. Sorry to Terri, Kathleen, Brian, Seb and anyone else who went last night. I really think you will see a MASSIVE improvement on Sunday

I watched Prayer from Hull again the other day by coincidence, be interesting to see how this compares. So disappointing in NJ of all places, what have they been doing in the weeks off since The O2.
I did think Jon & Richie were a bit off at the start of the last night of The O2, for the first half they were so far away from each other with no contact at all it was ridiculous and the first time I had noticed it. Maybe they just have plenty of fall outs like we all do with our best mates, but its annoying when it spills over into concerts and gives ropey setlists like this.

Edit: Heres Prayer from Hull for a reminder

This was the worst Bon Jovi show I've ever been to. It beats Nijmegen performance wise because Richie kept making mistakes, and it beats Twickenham because it was just so ****ing boring. Jon wasn't singing in the same tempo as the rest of the band was, he skipped lines several times, and his voice cracked a few times as well. Richie messed up during HAND big time, the whole band didn't know what to do and after that had happened Jon refused to look at Richie until he grabbed his shoulder during WFTWM and looked him in the eye while almost killing his shoulder with his bare hands. During IML he pointed at Richie while singing "make no mistakes" and during Who Says when they shared the mike they refused to look eachother in the eye. It really was that bad that if I had been Richie I'd have grabbed Jon by the balls and would never, ever accept that, just like I don't tolerate such behaviour from my boss.

Further on; The crowd wasn't into it at all, the setlist was wrong on pretty much every level. The encore was just appaling and then during Glad All Over Jon's leg started to hurt a lot and he started to limp. He needed to hold on to the white mike stand in order to be able to stand up. There's no way more songs were going to get played anyway, he did the usual "I'm not going anywhere" lines, but Prayer was planned. I even think I Love This Town was done instead of another planned song but I'm not 100% sure about that. After having played so many different songs of which Jon knows they go over well everywhere (Let It Rock, Wild In The Streets) Jon didn't pick any of them and instead just played a very Jon orientated setlist which no one cared about.

This show never rocked and like I texted to Carli: This is why people love Bruce but like Jon. Jon is all talk and no action, while Bruce shows passion for his crowd and passion for his songs.

Pathetic.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
And so the end is near ...
Guess you can now start a complete new 'bruce-archives' site and go to bruce's shows
Are you every day performing your best in your own job?

Between black & white are lots of shades of grey you know.

I had to quote and laugh at that ... I think they had many Hull already but that show was one of the NMS so I totally see why it shocked the fans waiting for something memorable

it will be memorable but no in the right way

That Seb's review is very honest and unfortunately I feel like I was there
