He installed more pop-ups so more people would opt for the pop-up free option. It's just a business to him.

Actually, one of the ad networks deactivated my account, reactivated it later but somehow misconfigured it and that's why there were no popups for a long time. I noticed that by accident and managed to fix it, and that's when the ads started appearing again (all these ad types were here years ago).

I'm currently not interested in selling the entire site, but feel free to email me an offer for the board (+ jovitalk.com domain + permanent redirect from current url to there) if you're serious - peter5@peterweb.com.

This is not just business to me (to some extent it is, but there's an emotional component involved), but I'm not ready to put my free time into it anymore just because I used to do it years ago. I've had couple or horrible years due to really serious health-related problems and started to view my life differently.

Hi Peter,

I am sorry about your continuing health issues and hope you are managing ok.

Unlike some I remember the earlier JT forums when you were active and recall your ethos in the forums creation. It took me a while to get my head around some of it, but in the end JT works for all. I hope you feel proud of Jovitalk ...Thank you for the use of the forums for all these years.

I dont mind paying for JT to be ad free but at what point would the payments make JT ad free for everyone?

My issue is ,new/old forum vistors cant read the forum due to all the ads, this will put them off immediately and the forum will cease to grow. Surely this cant be inline with the forums orginal ethos , access for all.

If a few pay for the freedom of others to view the forums then surely this would be the way to go forward and in keeping with the JT ethos - access for all.
