i bought their Greatest Hits when i was still a teen and i liked it then.
but i'm no more into them.
but if you like FC which is the song i can't stand then you'll probably like them.

Oh I love Europe! That was the first more rock-oriented band I got into (6 years old back in 1986 when TFC came out). My favourite album is "Out Of This World" and especially tracks like "Superstitious", "Sign Of The Times", "Coast To Coast" and "Let The Good Times Rock". The "Prisoners.." album is a close 2nd.

I'm seeing the guys live in two weeks for the very first time! Gonna have a blast!

You should probably start out with their greatest hits record, yeah. And then move to the albums with the songs you like the most off the greatest hits. I recommend Prisoners In Paradise, too.

What I've heard of them, I pretty much love. I have none of their stuff, though. Might get the Greatest Hits, also.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Mo.

They´re merely mainstream 80´s hard rock with nothing very special to it. One or two minor hits and one chart-topper (TFC). I bought that album back in 1987 but forgot about it while I was too busy listening to Slippery When wet.

I don´t mean there´s anything actually wrong with Europe, though. They´re just a bit boring, don´t you think?

I should get their Greatest Hits too I reckon ... like a lot of people, I love The Final Countdown (the song), and also like a lot of people, it's the only one of their pre-comeback songs I actually know

Does anyone else really like the Start From The Dark album? Sure, it sounds very Audioslave-esque, but that's definetly not a bad thing! There are some great songs on there: Gotta Have Faith, the title track, and Flames are particular favourites of mine

Boring? Anything but. Songs like The Final Countdown, In The Future To Come, Rock The Night, Seven Door Hotel, and something else like Get Ready, I forget it's name but it has Ready in the title - anyway, they're effing awesome songs!

I would listen to their Greatest Hits again right now if I had the time.

Funnily enough I didn't like their greatest hits album. I downloaded it to see if I should buy it but I deleted it.
