New Meat Loaf single

Speaking In Tongues. Took me a few listens to get used to the vocals but it's definitely a grower, and bodes well for the album next month.

Meatloaf's new album was slaughtered on Melodic Rock. It got 35%.

Out of curiosity I listened to a few songs. His voice is shot. Way worse than Jon's. It literally doesn't sound like him.

The reviewer also said Meatloaf is that bad vocally now he lip synchs live.

Agreed that his voice is shot, but I think he uses it more effectively in the studio under the circumstances than Jon does. Haven't watched that video yet but, for better or worse, he always sings live in concerts. He does have pre-recorded backing track to double the vocals though.

And yes - that really is him commenting! He's not one to mince his words and get into fights, even with huge fans.

Fair play to him for standing his ground. I often wonder how certain people have the nerve to directly insult a hugely successful person when their own achievements are not comparable.

You see it a lot with football players who have Twitter accounts. Fans sending them abusive tweets because they have underperformed or cost the team a goal. There's a huge difference between thinking someone is rubbish to actually telling them direct.

Seen a recent interview with Meatloaf. He really doesn't look or sound well.

Meatloaf was on a couple of shows in the UK over the last week or so and he really doesn't look well.
As for the album - horrible!!!
I got about halfway before I had to turn it off.

Apparently an Aussie or New Zealand music magazine rates "Going All The Way Is Just The Start" as the greatest duet ever....

Yeah he looks awful. I was shocked how odd his voice sounded on the album.

I love Meat Loaf. I think Bat 3 is a great record, so is "Welcome To The Neighbourhood". "Hang Cool Teddy Bear" was OK. I listened to the snippets of "Handbasket" and decided not to buy it.

I just remembered he had this new album out... really liked "Speaking In Tongues". Now after reading the reviews I'm very uncertain weather to get it or not. "Going All The Way" (judging from the video) is not as bad as some people make it sound. But then again... sigh. Reading the comments here didn't enourage me either.
