Holy crap that's abysmal. He looks like he's trying to imitate Jon's moves which is hilarious.

I have a history of agreeing with your assessments and I do here also. But I figure that if posters can pick apart a high production, scripted Bon Jovi show while completely ignoring the fact that thousands enjoyed it, the same posters would have a field day with the Richie cell phone vids. Truthfully, I think I would enjoy myself more at a Richie show than a Bon Jovi show since I have seen Bon Jovi shows via YouTube many times and Richie's show would be a new and completely different experience. I actually like the mix of the Richie songs, Bon Jovi songs and covers.

Exactly this! Ok, lyrics are a bit ropey but it's all about having fun on stage, and they are definitely doing that - and as heard from a lot of the people who go to these concerts, they are having a great time too.

Tbh, I would choose Richi's concerts every time over recent predictable Bon Jovi concerts - a no brainer for me. Shame he's not coming to a place near me....

But there's a huge difference to a loosely planned show with unplanned solos and riffs to a guy just flat out not knowing full sections of songs and chord changes and just mumbling lyrics. There are parts in The Distance where he's playing wrong chords completely. I dug Rosie though.
