Well - he's doing what he should have been doing for ages. I think I said that back in 2012 already - get out there, play festivals, jam with awesome musicians...and just forget Bon Jovi for a while.

I'm so happy he's actually doing it. And whichever way you look at it, that Lay your Hands On Me is absolutely phenomenal!

Exactly, all that Lund shit and jamming with fabric was frustrating to see, but I'm more than happy for him to be doing his proper solo stuff and getting up and joining other performers like he has been this week, and he was fantastic with Dolly at Glasto.

The first half of Lay Your Hands on Me with Dolly sounded horrific, but that wasn't Richie or Dolly's fault....

Actually it's exactly that name, and the 80s stigma that's attached to it, that is why they haven't played Glasto.

There was shock when they played Isle of Wight last year, there'd be a riot of they were picked to headline Glastonbury! And that riot would largely be the Jon suck-ups who can't get a ticket because Glasto sells out before a single artist is announced.

None of that has any bearing on the problems I have with him though, and neither does the thing with Bon Jovi either. When he sucks I say it, if he sucks less I say it, when/if he is really good I will say it.
I wasn't particularly directing my comment at you, it just happens that I felt it was a relevant reply to what you said.

So Dolly Parton drew the largest crowd at Glasto - larger than Metallica?? What the hell hahah. That is amazing. Richie must have got the buzz of a life-time. I bet you he'll be playing there next year. I am almost certain he'll try whatever, play for free, etc.

Never heard of that, but given the audience and the ticket prices, it'd be one hell of a charity gig. Probably the biggest ever every year...
