have you seen them before? Is the Seattle show typical? I am glad I've seen them, but it's not a band I need to see every time they come through (though they don't come by here often anyway lol).

maria ive seen oasis a couple of times.

1st time they were absolutely amazing, one of th ebest gigs ive ever seen, couldn't fault a thing.

next coupla times they've been nowhere near as good but you got over an hour even at festivals so i think you guys have been bumped. kinda ironic considering liam was on telly the other week sayign eh wants to be the biggest band int he world again n he knows they need ot start trying to be again.

I haven't seen them before due to them not giving a decent show in Holland for the last 8 years, but do know what you're talking about, I've seen a couple of shows now from every tour. However, it's just Liam, something you dig or don't I think. Indeed, he is an arse, but it's no disrespect towards the crowd, he just doesn't know what to say or do when he's not singing, according to Noel. When he's drunk or stoned, Liam's a lot funnier, but indeed, Noel seems to be putting more effort into giving away a great show. They're just not a band of showing off.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Yep its why they'll never have any major sucess outside the UK I think. Thats just Liam on stage, he doesnt smile, he doesnt move and he aint very gracious to the fans either. He wont do a big speach telling you how pleased he is to be here or what a great crowd you are. I think the nearest we got at Manc was "you've been top bollox tonite" They wont even attempt to win over fans, its just you like us or you dont type thing. I personally love Oasis shows, but I will admit they just come on, do the songs and go. If you really like their music though, it wont matter. Also the BRitish crowds usually make up for Liams lack of enthusiam on stage.

went to see a mates band at king tuts tonight.

they were supporting a swedish band called the shout out louds and I was expecting to get halfway through their 1st song and I'd be wanting to head hoem but they were great. very cure-esque which is always a good thing.

they've got a single called the comeback out here next week and it's great. got a brilliant little synth hook and I'm sure i've heard it somewher ebefore but just can't place it.

I saw Scorpions in July in Vaasa, Finland... They were amazing!!!! They really rock live!

Can't believe I've not seen any bands live since then, but there's the Steve Vai tour coming up... Can't wait!!!!!!

Last live act.. top aussie band. Think Jet, but shitloads better songwriting. For the people who know of the band You Am I from Australia.. the lead guitarist of them is the frontman of The Pictures.

Audioslave.

I listened to an interview of Chris Cornell earlier in the week and he said that they were rehearsing Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog ---- I knew right then they'd be playing that song in Everett! I just hoped that Eddie Vedder would give a surprise visit and sing it along with Chris....

Right away, Chris said he had an old friend from Everett and he'd come out a bit later.... I desperatly looked for the connection between Vedder and Everett (a town some 30 miles north of Seattle), but couldn't find one....

Anyway, Cornell was in the best shape ever - his voice was really good and he clearly enjoys 'coming home'. Two songs in, he brings out his daughter Toni --- nothing more attractive than a grown man with a little toddler on his arm. Sigh

They certainly did play Hunger Strike and no Vedder appeared (in hindsight, I get it, PJ is on tour themselves and most like not even in town lol). Anyway, still waiting for the old friend of Chris. And there he was .... good old Spoonman. THE one and only, original Spoonman!! The kids next to me were cute when all of a sudden they 'got it' that the dude was making the noise with spoons lol. Cute.

Cornell did again the accoustic Black Hole Sun and Call Me a Dog (another Temple of the Dog song) and closed out the set with Killing in the Name of and Cochise. Though, I don't think anything can follow Killing in the Name of. The crowd goes ballistic and I think I hurt my knee really bad AGAIN jumping like crazy - oh well...

If you think BJ put on a GREAT show, please go and see Audioslave ... Cornell truly knows how to give back to his fans
