The party season is in full force at Cannes. Some of the most high-profile bashes already have taken place.
At the annual MTV party, 1,000 guests - mostly on the very young side - danced to a DJ at Carlton Beach, providing a sleepless night for those staying across the street at the Carlton Hotel. Among those in attendance: rocker Jon Bon Jovi and actor Matthew McConaughey.
More star power was evident at the much more sedate daytime Cure by the Shore event, hosted by Lily Tartikoff, wife of the late entertainment executive Brandon Tartikoff. Peri Gilpin of TV's ``Frasier'' was a co-host, and the fete attracted Darryl Hannah and Jeff Goldblum.
