Michigan Concert #2
From: Kyle Maurer
That is my first reaction. Bon Jovi didn't come to Detroit (Pine Knob in Auburn Hills) last night for a concert, they came to party with their "old friends from Detroit" as they put it. If you wanted fan interaction, this was the concert to be at. This is my first Bon Jovi concert and to tell you the truth I didn't expect much because I figured they couldn't be as good live here as the stories I'd heard. They are something of a legend as far as concerts go here in Detroit. And that is putting it mildly.
Jon smiled a lot, talked a lot, shook a lot of hands, and played up to an overly-approving crowd. Not during one song did we (the audience) wait till the end for an ovation. Sometimes you couldn't even hear the music. Aside from that, I've never seen so many lighters in all my life.
I can't say enough about the concert but it was as if Jon had been reading this list asking if something was wrong because he had a lot of fun.
SET LIST (in a kinda, sorta, right order)
Keep The Faith
Something For the Pain
Lie To Me
Someday I'll Be Saturday Night (with an added verse not on album)
Livin on a Prayer
Medley: Sleep When I'm Dead, Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye, Mama Was A Rolling Stone, Jumpin Jack Flash, (and back to) Sleep When I'm Dead
Lay Your Hands On Me
Medley: Bad Medicine, Shout, (and back to) Bad Medicine
Blaze of Glory
Wanted, Dead or Alive
Blood on Blood
This Ain't a Love Song
Keep on Rocking in a Free World
I'm not sure of the order, especially of the encores but for the most part this is right. There was also a song, I can't remember which, from the new album that had an extra verse not on the album. Jon usually rambles a bit and adds things but these were two songs (plus Sat. Night) that actually had an aditional verse.
