Ischgl, Austria, 2.5.1998

Jon Bon Jovi was brought by helikopter from Friedrichshaven, Germany to the Idalpe in Ischgl (at 2300m) in the morning of May 2nd (without band "Bon Jovi").

The Idalpe had become overcrowded by about 20.000 fans which a record number of visitors for the Ischgl Open Air; "traffic-jam" for thousands of visitors while transporting to the mountain area with cableway - about 1000 fans came to late and heard only the last four JBJ songs.

Some of the prominent visitors: former austrian Chancellor dr. Franz Vranitzky; also Leonhard Stock, winner of the Olympic Medal in skiing (from Austria).

Most of the songs played were from "Destination Anywhere" and "Blaze of Glory" - but also a few "good old" Bon-Jovi hits... concert was about 90 minutes long.

Jon Bon Jovi enjoyed the following sunday skiing in Ischgl!
