BON JOVI THANKED FOR HIS EFFORTS
(DEC. 14) WENN - SIXTH - INTERNATIONAL MUSIC NEWS - Singer JON BON JOVI was thanked by New York City for his efforts to help the family of Sergeant PATRICK A KING.
Bon Jovi was in New York last year (97) when King was murdered, and he was so moved by the tragedy that he organised a benefit concert for the family and raised $160,000 (=9C100,000).
As a result, the LIVING ON A PRAYER singer has been presented with a key to the city and a lifetime membership to the state Policeman's Benevolent Association.
Bon Jovi attended the event with his wife DOROTHEA. Other stars who were at the original benefit concert include BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY.
