Bon Jovi has changed the venue for two live shows in Britain this summer because of concern that the new national stadium at Wembley wouldn't be ready in time.
"After contact with Wembley, it is evident that the stadium will not be ready for the Bon Jovi shows in June," the rock band said in a statement Thursday on its Web site.
"Having closed the original Wembley Stadium, it would have been a fitting honor to open the new one," lead singer Jon Bon Jovi of Middletown said in the statement.
The rock band's June 10-11 concerts will be held at the nearby Milton Keynes Bowl.
It was the latest bad news for the Wembley Stadium, which had been scheduled to open with English soccer's FA Cup final May 13.
In other Bon Jovi news, Jon Bon Jovi, co-owner of the Philadelphia Soul football team, is scheduled to make an announcement during halftime tonight at Philadelphia's Wachovia Center about his latest project involving Habitat for Humanity.
Bon Jovi is scheduled to appear on ABC's "20/20" tonight in a program taped March 16, when the rock star visited his alma mater, Sayreville War Memorial High School, to talk with students there.
