ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) _ New Jersey's tourism industry is getting some help from Sayreville native Jon Bon Jovi, who's lending his new hit single to a state advertising campaign.
"Who Says You Can't Go Home" will be featured in commercials throughout the region, Gov. Jon S. Corzine said Thursday during a state tourism conference in Atlantic City.
"We're going to have a different kind of ad campaign this year _ one that is fun, focused on something that is very positive from its perspective on New Jersey and from somebody we all know and love," Corzine said.
The song is presently No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 list. A duet version with Jennifer Nettles is No. 3 on the country charts.
The Jersey shore version of the 30-second television spot will include video shots of a lifesaving boat from Cape May, Barnegat Lighthouse on Long Beach Island and other classic shore scenes.
An alternate version shows horseback riding, golf and fly fishing.
