Bon Jovi have admitted they were on the brink of splitting up due to the pressures of constant touring and recording.
Singer Jon Bon Jovi revealed he had to take drastic measures by sacking the band's manager, lawyer and accountants a few years ago in order to rescue the group.
And he says that because all of the band's affairs are now controlled by him, the group are much stronger and can carry on "forever".
He said: "We had time to reflect on what was going wrong and all that was going wrong, in retrospect, was that those who were working for us, pushing harder - more shows, more records, more this, more that - were only trying to do their job.
"But at the time I was quick to point a finger and say, 'You're killing us for a commission.' They almost did make the band break up.
