Lakemoor bar setting for Bon Jovi video 6 August 2007
Daily Herald article

A dirt road, a renovated bar, and a huge iron bull could land a Lakemoor tavern in a rock video.

Production crews spent Wednesday filming exterior shots of the Iron Bull Saloon on Route 120, with plans to use it in rock band Bon Jovi’s next music video.

The video “Lost Highway” is due to be released at the end of this month.

Bar owner Amy Donahue said it was exciting to see the film crew at work outside of her establishment, even if the band was a no-show.

“They called us and asked if we would be willing to let the video be shot here,” she said. “Of course we agreed. It’s exciting to have them here.”

Donahue said she closed the bar for the day, but reopened when shooting wrapped up about 8 p.m. Production started at 6 a.m.

Joel Tabbush, production manager for Crossroads Pictures in Chicago, said the Iron Bull was selected because its exterior and a gravel road next to the building lent itself to the theme of the video.

The premise of the video, Tabbush said, is a woman is listening to the new Bon Jovi song while driving down the road. She pulls into the bar where the band is allegedly playing.

The interior of the bar used for the video was shot in a tavern in Berwyn, he said.
