The Examiner article
If rocker Jon Bon Jovi ever decides down the road that he wants to go into politics, he’s more than halfway there: this is one Man Who Keeps His Word. When he says he is going to do something or makes a promise, there’s no whining and crying, hemming and hawing. He Man-Ups and steps up to the mic and delivers.
Always.
So this week, when ‘The Circle’ tour rolls into the City of Brotherly Love, Bon Jovi will keep a promise he made when he was owner of the Arena Football League’s Philadelphia Soul franchise. The league folded due to problems beyond Bon Jovi’s control, but before it did, he promised Philadelphians that if his team didn’t win the league championship, he would do a free performance.
His promise was made on Philly’s WMMR 93.3 FM on the Preston and Steve Show, true to Jon Bon Jovi’s generosity of spirit, he promised the performance either way: Win or Lose. Thus, Bon Jovi will fulfill his commitment this week, in addition to playing two sold out shows at the Wachovia Center on March 23 and 24th.
