The European run began in Bulgaria on May 14 and wrapped with an appearance at the British Summer Time festival in London’s Hyde Park on July 5. Most of the concerts during the European trek were at large stadiums, but performances at outdoor concert sites were also on the itinerary.
The top attendance count came from a stadium performance in Munich on May 18, the first of four concerts in German cities. The sellout crowd topped 64,000 at Munich’s Olympic Stadium, site of the 1972 summer games.
