Live Album Review From Music365 |

They give it 2/10
Not exactly one wild night, then...
This 15-track album (14 live, one studio) was recorded, as the title so grandly proclaims, between 1985 and 2001, 16 years in which Bon Jovi have managed to ride out all the fads, all the trends and still pack out Megadomes the world over. Whatever you may think of this blue-collar rock, they must be doing something right. And that something is easy enough to suss out.
Bon Jovi offer a whole bunch of radio-friendly anthems that kinda rock... but never too hard. Yer mum could easily cut the wedding-reception rug to any of the opening trio - 'It's My Life', 'Livin' On A Prayer' and 'You Give Love A Bad Name' - and not do her back in. This is as nice as rock gets. The singer's pretty, the keyboards are tinkly, the guitar sound's cosy and what few rough edges Bon Jovi used to have (a hairy-chested, poodle-permed rock posing singer) have been all but ironed out.
