EAST RUTHERFORD -- The Monmouth County-based rock band Bon Jovi last night played the first of two concerts at Giants Stadium.
Bon Jovi's "One Wild Night" world tour, promoting the Grammy-nominated "Crush" album, ends with tonight's show.
The musicians -- Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan, Tico Torres and Hugh McDonald -- played to a crowd of nearly 80,000 at the sold-out stadium.
Bon Jovi opened with "One Wild Night" and performed virtually every hit from the band's career, from mid-'80s favorites such as "Livin' On A Prayer" and "You Give Love A Bad Name" to this year's Grammy-nominated single, "It's My Life."
Also on the bill for the stadium sets were the bands Eve 6 and Sugar Ray.
Jon Bon Jovi, who grew up in Sayreville, is now a Middletown resident.
See Sunday's Asbury Park Press for a complete review of the concert.
