Jon in negotiations to join the cast of Ally McBeal?

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Robert Downey Jr. is gone from "Ally McBeal," but producer David E. Kelley doesn't plan to keep Calista Flockhart's character pining for long.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, singer-actor Jon Bon Jovi is in negotiations to join the cast as a recurring player this year, with his role similar in scope to that of Downey's last season.
In other "Ally" music news, Elton John is scheduled to make a guest appearance on the show sometime this fall, following in the footsteps of Sting last season.
The details of Bon Jovi's character remain sketchy, but he apparently will not play a lawyer, and he will be romantically involved with Ally.
John's appearance is scheduled for Nov. 19, an episode that will also feature Jacqueline Bisset, who will appear in several episodes this season.
The season premiere of "Ally McBeal" is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET Monday, Oct. 22.
