Bon Jovi Catalog Review 27 January 2002
From proj-ex.net...

Regardless of what's going on in your little corner of the world, you can always rely on the music to be the one true friend you have. For me, that band is Bon Jovi, and that's why they're the first Project X Catalog Review.

Now, before you read forward I need your help. These "catalog reviews" are going to be a new feature on PX, but the jury is still out on how we should do them. We could do a straight review (i.e. "this album is good because..."), but I wanted to try something different and instead of do a straight review, give a paragraph on what the albums mean to me with a few of my favorite songs. Since music is such a personal medium and the songs we hear create a snapshot of a certain time in our life...maybe it'd be entertaining to read an anecdote or two on my life:)

Slippery When Wet (1986)
Two things will always stand out about this album. Like most children of the 80's, Slippery... was my introduction to Bon Jovi. The thing is that when I first heard him, I thought he was Ozzy Osbourne. Before everyone starts laughing, I was only 11 and was just getting into music. All I knew was that Ozzy had a song called Shot in the Dark, and I heard a song on the radio where the line went "Shot through the heart..." Hey, I was young:)
