Not directly BJ-related, but still interesting bit of news...
FROM LAUNCH.YAHOO.COM:
One thing's for sure: Coldplay's Chris Martin does not live in a musical vacuum. The British band's lead singer took many musical detours on its North American tour with bits of songs by Bon Jovi, Britney Spears, and Nelly, among other acts, during various dates.
During the band's recent appearance in the New York area, Martin worked in slices of Spears's "I'm a Slave 4 U" and Nelly's "Hot in Herre."
"We're more handsome than *NSYNC and we've got better ballads," he quipped onstage, dipping into *NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" during Coldplay's "Trouble."
Martin also took the Nelly diversion in Boston and Toronto. He additionally compared the group to Bon Jovi and banged out a verse of "Living On A Prayer."
Coldplay wrapped up its North American tour on Tuesday (September 24). The band launches a European jaunt on October 4 in Glasgow, Scotland and will go from England to Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Sweden.
As for the future, guitarist/songwriter Jonny Buckland told LAUNCH, "Yeah, we want to do a show on ice, you know, ice dancing. And, yeah I think that would be good. Or some kind of, maybe, tour on the back of a boat around the rivers of the world, you know, the Amazon and the Nile. 'The Great Rivers Tour,' I think that would be pretty cool. Yeah, we've got some way to go."
