NEW YORK (Billboard) - Bon Jovi has confirmed 16 dates for its summer North American tour, beginning July 11 outside of Chicago and wrapping with a previously announced Aug. 8-9 stand in East Rutherford, N.J., at Giants Stadium.
Sheryl Crow and the Goo Goo Dolls will open three shows together; the former will be the sole guest July 12 in East Troy, Wis., while the latter will handle support duties on its own from July 11-Aug. 4.
Beforehand, the group will play 17 dates in Europe, beginning May 20 in Barcelona and wrapping with a June 28 show at London's Hyde Park, which is expected to draw upward of 80,000 fans. Bon Jovi is touring in support of its latest Island album, "Bounce," which debuted last October at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 619,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
In February, guitarist Richie Sambora told Billboard.com that the group is pondering several fan-friendly projects for release at some point, including an acoustic live album, a DVD, and a retrospective box set loaded with previously unreleased songs.
