After spending most of 2003 on the road, Bon Jovi is mixing things up a bit by playing acoustic-electric shows in select markets.
The New Jersey-bred band's first such show took place in Kiel, Germany, in June, and earlier this month the group surprised fans in St. Paul, MN, by playing the first half of their show acoustically before plugging in for the second half.
Another acoustic-electric show took place in the Pittsburgh area on Thursday (7/24), and the band has announced that its upcoming dates in Columbus, OH (7/29), Noblesville, IN (7/30) and Cincinnati (8/1) will also be in the acoustic-electric format.
Bon Jovi continues to tour behind last fall's "Bounce," which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart. It marks the highest chart debut in Bon Jovi's history. The Goo Goo Dolls will open through Aug. 4. Sheryl Crow is also on the bill on Saturday (7/26) in Philadelphia.
The tour wraps up on Aug. 7 and 8 with a pair of shows at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ; Jason Mraz and Pete Yorn open both dates.
