|"Slippery When Wet" Review
Well, this is my first review on this page and I decided to begin with their breakthrough-album. I'll do a track by track review, but I'm not going into details. Just a short comment to every song.
LET IT ROCK:
The title says it all, doesn't it? A great opener for that album. I always liked it, and still do. 9/10
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME:
It's a classic, it's a hit, you have to like it! 9/10
LIVIN' ON A PRAYER:
Bumm! That's it! The unforgettable Tommy and Gina. Thanks to Richie that he insited on putting it on the album. 10/10
When I listened to it first I thought: OmG, what comes now? I honestly don't like that intro much, but the song is ok. 7/10
WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE:
Wow, wow, wow! Love it, love it, love it! Always did and always will. Supposedly my favourite song ever. The guitar and everything is just perfect! Almost too good to be true. 10+/10
RAISE YOUR HANDS:
Not bad, but I don't really love it and I'm not listening to it much. 7/10
Same as above, it's ok, but I'm often not even listening to it. 7/10
I'D DIE FOR YOU:
Yeah, this is a good one. I especially listen to this song more since I heard the accoustic version, which is breathtaking. To the album version I give 8/10.
NEVER SAY GOODBYE:
Wow, very beautiful and emotional. Love this song since I heard it first. 10/10
WILD IN THE STREETS:
Very good. I especially love the part with "... just like a girl who looks so happy when inside she's so sad ...". This gives me the creeps! 9/10
After having listened to the whole album yesterday for this track by track review I like the album even more. However, there are some of the best tracks ever on it, but as a whole it's not my favourite BJ-album, so I'll give it 8/10.
