"Slippery When Wet" Review 27 October 2000
One of the Best Albums

A review by Billy Coleman / coleman@bootheel.net

Slippery When Wet is no doubt the album that made Bon Jovi who they are today and I will give my review on this album, which is in my view the second best Bon Jovi album, next to New Jersey. Don't get me wrong, I love the new album Crush but I hope their new album(if they make one) will rock like New Jersey and Slippery When Wet did.

Let it Rock is just plain old classic rock that is great from start to finish. 10/10

You Give Love a Bad Name is the song that made Bon Jovi but I guess I don't like it as much considering I've heard it so many times. 9/10

Livin on a Prayer is one of my favorite Bon Jovi songs ever. The lyrics are great along with the rockin background. 10/10

Social Disease is not one of my favorites to say the least. I am likely to skip this one when I am listening to SWW. 4/10

Wanted Dead or Alive is simply the best song Bon Jovi has ever written. Enough said! 10/10

Raise Your Hands is another song that rocks the house and reminds me more of a party song than anything. 9/10

Without love is simply a beautiful song and the best ballad on the album. 10/10

Die For You is a good song but not of my favorites off the album. 8/10

Never Say Goodbye is a great ballad that in my opinion just falls short of Without love as the best ballad on the album. 9/10

Wild in the Streets just kicks ass. Sorry but I can listen to this song over and over and it still doesn't get old. 10/10

Rating: 9/10
