The Best Solo Album Of Any Of Bon Jovi's Members Yet
This album marks the transition of Jon to the 90's and the beginning of a new fase
Blaze of Glory still shines nowadays. It has the heroic and epic feeling that previews songs like Dry Conty,These Days or Keep the Faith.
Although a little restrict (the whole album is based on the movie Young Guns II) it's a wonderful album and have powerful songs.Unfortunately and for some reason (I'd like to know why) these songs didnt't get much propagation.
In my opinion Jon surpasses Richie in their respectives solo albums.
Richie has more complex and well-worked lyrics but,on the other hand,Jon knows how to captivate, fascinate and hit right in the brains with his songs.Just listen Just Older from the new album CRUSH (a song written by Jon) and you will realize the energy that only Jon can transmit.
Back to the Blaze of Glory album,in my opinion the best song is Santa Fe,one of the best songs Jon did until today. It's wonderful and deserved to be recognized as a SPETACULAR song!!!!The orchestra,Jon's voice and lyrics are fantastic!Blaze of Glory,Bang a Drum and Justice In The Barrel are at least excellent as well. Never Say Die is the most rock'n roll song in the album and Billy Get Your Guns mix a little of pop style.Miracle is a relaxing and beautiful song.It has a tasty freedom sensation. Blood Money and You Really Got Me Now try to have a more distinct slope of the whole album with a country and a jazz style. Finally, Dyin' Áin't Much Of A Livin' is the saddest song in the album but with the participation of Elton John it really worths too.Bang a Drum is so good that a country version was made by Chris Ledoux with Jon's participation.
As you can see in my opinion in this album there aren't weaker songs and because of that it deserves a 10 with all magnificence. It's the best solo album of any of the band's members yet.
