"Undiscovered Soul" Review 9 June 2001

A review by James

I really like this album a lot. I have had it since it came out and over the years, it has never dulled. I think that the title track "Undiscovered Soul" has to be one of the most talent-rich, meaningful, wonderful songs ever to be recorded. The intro is plain awesome and then the lyrics really make you think about the girl who was "standing at the station...". Also, Harlem Rain is terrific. Richie is truly a romantic kind of guy and it shows in his ballads. I recommend this album to anybody. I like it way more than his 1st album, not that "Stanger in this town" is bad in any way. If you see this in the store, be sure to pick it up!
