"One Wild Night: Live 1985-2001" Review 14 June 2001
One Wild Night, a bust or not?

A review by Joseph Scheffler / jclovesjoe@yahoo.com

Alright...Alright... I've read all the mean articles from the other Bon Jovi fans. I'm sorry Bon Jovi didn't please everyone out there with the releasal of ONE WILD NIGHT. Come on people, don't give them so much "B.S.", I mean, one person went crazy about the title of the CD for goodness sakes! My guess on the CD consisting of live songs done within the last year is probably, those are the best quality!

Now...As far as everyone's favorites being left off, that's too bad. I know all the original Bon Jovi groupies would love to see this as being Bon Jovi finally repaying you for your years of following the band, but I don't really think that was what this CD was for. In fact, I think this was Bon Jovi reaching out to their new fans and informing them of their past hits! I am a pretty new fan, but fortunately I went out and picked up some old CDs and went to my older brother to find out which CDs to get. Naturally, I started off with Crossroads and I am currently working from there.

I agree.....I love the song Dry County, it's a shame they had to leave it off, but that would have taken up like 10 minutes of the album!!! And considering that this is more of a CD made for commercial purposes on educating the new generation, they couldn't do that. I don't want to encourage anybody to download studio music, because we both know that is just something you shouldn't do! If you want to have the song, just buy the friggin CD PLEASE!!! But, there is a place called Audio Galaxy at http://www.audiogalaxy.com

I suggest you check it out, but don't get the studio stuff, but search Bon Jovi Live, hopefully you'll find what you need. Trust me, if you find Dry County live from Wembley Stadium, it's worth the download. THE EMOTION BEHIND THE SONG IS JUST AWESOME!!!

So this is me, speaking for a new generation of Bon Jovi fans! Thanks to those of you who were cheering them on so many moons ago, without you guys, we wouldn't have their music to enjoy today! May they carry on a great career as a band, LONG LIVE THE BOYS FROM JERSEY!

This CD is good and served it's purpose, and don't talk bad about anything on here, cause it's all good!

---Joe Scheffler

p.s. the live version of "Livin' on a Prayer" is great, the "talk box" guitar effect is greatness!
