"One Wild Night: Live 1985-2001" Review |

Terrible album - reviewed by a FAN
Bon Jovis live album is terrible. As much as I love the other studio albums, as much I am disappointed by this live album.
I'm a big BJ fan and have been so for the last 10 years. I love BJ's music, but I'm not blind as to when they don't live up to their reputation as a great rock band.
OWN is sloppy. There's an error in Keep The Faith. I Don't like Mondays was formerly released as a B-side. Keep on Rocking in the Free World is also a B-side - only with the great Neil Young tribute removed in mastering.
This isn't a collection of the best BJ-recordings in the last 16 years. It's what they first laid their hands on when they opened the vault with all the old recordings. It's so obvious that nobody had an overview of the material. I have way better sounding bootleg recordings. Both sound-wise and energy-wise.
I love the guys but this was a misfire. If you want a good live album, go for Springsteen live in NYC. When comparing that record to OWN it's so easy to hear that OWN is NOT a great live album, which unfortunately doesn't mean that most of the fans will notice this.
