The 7th album!!!
Bon Jovi released this album thinking it was a happy rock splash like "Crush". However, it's not that at all. No, it's not filled with sad and depressing songs..but it's not filled with happy and cheerful songs either. These Days is a much darker album than the others. The only album I can compare it to is the second one. So, anyway, read the song review.
Hey God) The first and most rocking Bon Jovi song I've ever heard. The lyrics are great but this song shows bravery as Jon takes a public risk and yells at God.

Something For The Pain) I've always found this song a bit funny, even though it's kind of sad when you think about it. It reminds me of Bad Medicine, and like Bad Medicine, the lyrics are a little sorrowing but the sound is upbeat.

This Ain't A Love Song) I didn't like this one at first, but that's the way it always goes. To like the song, you have to actually play it and listen to it. I did! And now, this is a top 10 Bon Jovi song for me..Well, I can't really choose the top 10 since every Bon Jovi song rocks.

These Days) Not only the title of the album, but a huge statement. The song is very depressing but it's still great to sing along with. In a way, you can compare it to Livin' On A Prayer but with a more sad type of sound.

Lie To Me) "If you don't love me, lie to me." The lyrics obviously state what this great song is about. A very nice part of this song is when Jon uses the word "Rollercoaster" which I hadn't heard from Bon Jovi until this track.

Damned) Much like Something For The Pain. An upbeat sound with truthful lyrics.

My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms) So far, every song has revealed sadness..and so does this one! From this song, I hear one of the longest notes Jon has ever sang. The lyrics are a bit earth-shaking.
