Crush: Re "The Flash"
Although I understand that the reviews section is by no means a message board of any kind, I feel I have to reply to the recent review by "TheFlash".
First of all let me begin by saying that I am a huge Bon Jovi fan, and that I do think that certain songs from Crush are good. But just good, by no means brilliant.
Second Of All, of course Crush is going to gain Bon Jovi new fans. It is not a terrible album. The new style will obviously appeal to people who were not fans of previous albums.
Thirdly, In my review (posted on this site) I did not say that "Mystery Train is similar to Soul Asylum because of the word "Train" ". I believe that Mystery Train sounds like something that Soul Asylum would do because of the way the actual song sounds, not from the name of the song.
Looking back maybe I was a little harsh in my review, but the fact still remains that Crush is Bon Jovi`s weakest album to date.
To finish with, something I failed to mention in my review. There are no lyrics within the sleeve. Just a minor gripe but important all the same.
