"Bounce" Review 14 September 2002
AWESOME ALBUM. Don't leave home without it!

A review by Captain Crash / Hwyq@AOL.com

It doesn't get any better than this. What an awesome album! I love it! I love every track! Crush was brilliant, and with this different, but amazing follow-up, I feel...kinda' sick.. But I love it!

track by track:

Undivided: Perfect opener. I've heard many times that this song is a "classic"... I love it, too! Jon sings with such emotion and the whole song is pretty heavy (except in the beauuuutiful end).
10/10

Everyday: Wow! What an awesome first single! People say it's like It's My Life, but really, the song is more about being serious with your life, other than running out of time. I really love the video, too!
10/10

The Distance: A favorite from the beginning. This has made it into my top 10 Bon Jovi songs of all time. I love it to death... The lyrics are deep and beautiful, and the song is just...My God, I'm shaking from typing about it! This could, like MAAAAANY of the songs on here, be a very worthy single.
10+/10

Joey: A beautiful journey ... Joey is one of the most fascinating songs on this album. It's a story, basically.. Good one to think about.
10/10

Misunderstood: Another favorite of mine! Very good song. Loved it from the beginning, and I'd enjoy hearing it live!
10+/10

All About Loving You: Awesome! Another ballad from Bon Jovi. However, the lyrics of the ballads on this album are much more deep than any of any other ballads. Kind of mellow, yet so brilliant.
10/10

Hook Me Up: My favorite Bon Jovi intro and another favorite on the album. It's kind of scary at first, when you think about it. Very heavy too! There are some pretty heavy songs on this album. :D
10+/10

Right Side Of Wrong: This is NOT a ballad. Look at the lyrics! Not a ballad! But the lyrics are really amazing. It's also one of the deepest songs I've ever heard.
10/10

Love Me Back To Life: One of the rockers! A first time favorite too. I love it. I love it. I love it. The title says a lot.
10+/10

You Had Me From Hello: One of my favorite Bon Jovi ballads. Soooooooooo lyrical, like most of the album. It's hard to not like this song. Just listen to it, many times, many times, maaaany times.
10/10

Bounce: I laughed when I heard this song. It's a trip back to Bon Jovi from every album. Bon Jovi have been knocked down by the press so many times, but they always bounce back big. Nothing can stop them, and this song states it, in a way. Another good rating:
10/10

Open All Night: These arms are open all night....... Another one of my favorite ballads. Although I do love the ballads like Bed Of Roses and Always, these ballads have a new ring to them. They're a new step, a new look at the band and their talent. Love it.
10/10

This is my favorite Bon Jovi album. I've never been able to pick a favorite before, because they were all so great, but this one is too brilliant. I love every track to death on it...and I didn't know if it would be that way, but it is! There isn't a song I want to skip when I play the album. I can relate to it soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.. From "Bounce"..as I bounce back in life.. to the tragedy explained in "Undivided"...to my realized seriousness of the world and myself which I see in "Everyday".. and the many times I am "Misunderstood". This album is the soundtrack to my life, and everyone in it.

Happy to sign off so I can go enjoy it,
Captain Crash
