Tampa Rcoked tonight! Blaze of Glory, Blood on Blood, NEVER SAY GOODBYE!!!
The setlist was as follows: (I think I have most of it in the right order...I may have a song or two slightly out of place):
Bounce, Bad Name, Wild in the Streets, Prayer, Everyday, Undivided, Runaway, The Distance, Just Older, Wanted, Right Side of Wrong, Misunderstood, I'll Be There For You, Hook Me Up, It's My Life, Saturday Night, Raise Your Hands, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, Born to be My Baby...Encore 1: Blaze of Glory, Blood on Blood, Bad Medicine, Shout...Encore 2: Never Say Goodbye!
This was my 8th Bon Jovi concert (2nd on this tour) and I have to say it was definitely one of the best!! They started at 8:55 and did not finish until 11:25pm. Jon was quite talkative and was over his cold. Bon Jovi have not been to Tampa since 1995 and the sold out crowd of nearly 22,000 fans welcomed them back with open arms.
The other show that I saw on the Bounce Tour was the opening night at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA. The ligting and camera shouts and lasers were better this time around b/c it wasn't opening night and they have had several shows to experiment and perfect the lighting, etc.
Much of the arena never sat down for the entire 2 1/2 hours. I got to hear several songs this time that I did not hear opening night in PA: (Wild in the Streets, The Distance, Right Side of Wrong, Blaze of Glory, Never Say Goodbye). The set list varied nicely between the 2 shows I saw on this tour b/c in PA I got to hear: Joey, Captain Crash, In These Arms, Heroes (David Bowie cover), Twist and Shout...
Tampa's set list was pretty unique for several reasons: this was the first show on this tour to play NEVER SAY GOODBYE, only the 2nd to play Blaze of Glory, and one of the few to play Blood on Blood.
I would have like to heard Keep the Faith, but I can't complain. I liked how Wanted moved up in the setlist so early, liked the new extended verses in Saturday night, and really liked to live version of The Distance.
The boys seemed to really have a great time in Tampa and they said that they would see us "next time." It was extra fun for me b/c I went with 2 Bon Jovi virgins who were very impressed with the show. Thank you to the band and the crew for putting on one helluva show!!!
See you next time!!
