22 April 2008
Aside from two short sets in 1997 and 2000 at the Red, White, & Boom Festival, the band had not been in Kansas City for a full length show since the Keep The Faith Tour. Their return was no disappointment! The April 22 show sold out quickly, so this date was added a few weeks later. I had great floor seats and was right next to the side platform Jon used to perform two ballads. The setlist was pretty similar to when I saw them in Omaha in February. The show was awesome. Some of the highlights were Blood Money (because I'd never seen it performed live before), Raise Your Hands (because he sang from KANSAS CITY to Tokyo), and It's My Life, Have A Nice Day, and Born To Be My Baby, which always rock live.
Setlist: Lost Highway, Born To Be My Baby, Bad Name, Raise Your Hands, Just Older, Sleep, Blood Money, Blaze of Glory, Whole Lot of Leavin', 'Til We Ain't Strangers Anymore, In These Arms, Saturday Night, We Got It Goin' On, It's My Life, Bad Medicine/Shout, I'll Be There For You (Richie), Memory, Bed of Roses, Who Says You Can't Go Home, Have A Nice Day, Keep The Faith, Prayer, ENCORE: I Love This Town, Wanted Dead or Alive
