7 August 2000 - Helsinki, Finland Concert Review 8 August 2000
BJ kicked some serious ass

A review by Marko / scorps@nic.fi

Third time for me to c Bon Jovi live on stage and it was better than I remembered (the last time being in Turku '95).

Started with Livin', continuing with Bad Name and then to new songs. Can't remember the two next songs, but then It's my Life showed Helsinki how to ROCK'N'ROLL!

As mentioned in previous shows it was totally Mr. Bon Jovi's show. He's even more clearly the leader in this band, he does it with style. Running to the side of the arena, climbing up to the balcony to be crabbed by dosens of female-fans, rosed some jealousy in me for sure...

Anyway, best songs for me was 'Wild In The Streets' hands down! After that I was just waiting for them to beat that, which they failed as far as I'm concerned. Another highlights were 'Born To Be My Babe' and 'Blood On Blood'.

I was little disappointed with them playing so many songs from the new album and it was quite clear, crowd wasn't that into the new stuff, except of course already mentioned 'It's My Life'. Another thing that bothered me a little was that they skipped These Days-album. I like that album far better than the new one.

All in all it was great concert and full arena of us finns got what we were for: GREAT ARENA ROCK'N'ROLL!

Your turn Tommy...
