27 June 2001 - Padova, Italy Concert Review 2 July 2001
My OWN WILD NIGHT!!!!

A review by Piero "YOUNG GUN" / InCarltonITrust@yahoo.com

Hi guys, I'm Piero and I'm very happy to write here because it means that I've been to the Bon Jovi's concert in Padova last 27 june.

I've known BJ's music 6 years ago when I heard for the first time "Crossroad" cd and from then I always have dreamed to see BJ really on a stage in front of me!
This possibility has come when they programmed to come in Italy for the ONE WILD NIGHT TOUR 2001 and this was one of the most news in my life!

According to me the concert has been extra-ordinary also if there were some little problems with Jon's voice (however we can excuse him if we think about his health conditions) and the organization (yeah, this has been very shitful), because being there with my best friends and listening to my favourite rock band was fantastic!

They have played very well and the surprise to see Richie singing "Bad Medecine" was great (the voice of Jon was really knock-out); a beautiful moment came when Richie said: "We have a special request for tonite, ....... , this is called STRANGER IN THIS TOWN", wow! In that moment I was translating for a girl but when I heard the title of the song I screamed "Mamma mia!", it was great!

Maybe one thing that I didn't liked is the lenght of the concert: only 1h and 45min but I'm happy to have been there, becuase I spent 1h and 45min singing my favourite songs with my favourite rock band!

I had won the possibility (with a radio competition) to get on the stage between the 7th and the 9th song with 4 friends of mine, and there I spent some of the more beautiful moments of my life: I was very excited, Hug and David were so near to us that we can hear their real voices (real, not coming from amps).

After the 9th song we returned in the crowd and there, listening "Lay Your Hands On Me" I cried, they were not real tears but the emotion was the same!

My favourite songs of the evening were "Wanted Dead Or Alive" and "Prayer '94" (the fantastic acoustic version of "Livin' On A Prayer") but however all the songs were great, like the "mother fuckers" (it's said in a ironic sense) that were playing them!!!!!

BJ, YOU'RE GREAT!
I would to say thanks to all the band for the marvellous night with them, also if this wasn't the best concert in their career; I hope to see them again and I hope to listen they playing "THESE DAYS", my favourite song in absolute, that they haven't played in Padova.

Also if I've known that the following concerts had been better than that in Padova, I'm very happy to had been there because it was an event: Richie has really sung in front of us and the rest of the band was extra-ordinary.
That evening the atmosphere was electric, you could feel the emotion of the people and I've known a lot of boys and girls, all with th same passion: BON JOVI!!!!

Hoping to see them again very soon I tell you goodbye, to the next review; if you want to talk e-mail me, I'll be happy to answer to you!

Bye, PIERO!
