8 July 2001 - Milwaukee, WI, USA Concert Review 11 July 2001
Like fine Wine-only gets better as it ages

A review by Mel / melissa@palacenet.net

I have seen many concerts including one other Bon Jovi concert. Overall this was the best I have seen, I was not able to get my front row tickets, no matter how I tried. I was on the right hand side of the ampitheater in the bleechers. Bon Jovi's Stage setup was such that everyone should have been able to see the show. This is largely thanks to the Huge screen on the back of the stage. As always, Jon brought tons of energy with him. These guys are quite the showmen. Alot of other bands need pyrotechs and fancy props to get this same energy back from the crowd. It is true that Living on a Prayer, Bed of Roses, and Thank you for Loving Me were not played by the band but It's My life ties in to Tommy and Gina from Prayer, Always, In These Arms, and I'll be there for you certainly filled the void for Roses and Thank you. The videos of the kids reaching out in I got the Girl was touching. During One Wild Night, Jon kisses the camera swarms of women in the stadium melted I assure you. Ticket prices were lower than some that I have paid and the concert was longer than some I have seen. Well worth the money for the true Bon Jovi Fans from age 6 to 80 (and we saw them there!).

Can't wait for the next album and tour. Watch for a 20 year celebration album!!!
