13 July 2001 - Chicago, IL, USA Concert Review 17 July 2001
Another Wild Night in Chicago

A review by andimal23 / andimal23@hotmail.com

Well, I've seen many mixed reviews here, and I think the show was incredible. This was my 11th time seeing them in concert, and I can say that each time gets better and better! Well, actually, one of the "New Jersey" tour shows was the best. But anyway, it was great to hear "Raise Your Hands", considering I haven't heard that one live in almost 10 years. The set list was a bit different than the November 2000 show, where they played almost the entire Crush album. They added a little more into the mix this time. I did notice that Jon had a hard time with a few of the higher notes, and didn't even attempt them on "Prayer". The crowd was so alive, and everyone was dancing in their seats, in the aisles, everywhere!

I was a little upset that every ten minutes some girl was running around on stage, and one girl chased him all over the stage. Funny thing is the girl that was chasing him (Jon gave her a rose) was the girlfriend of Eve 6's lead singer! Eve 6 sat by us through the entire show, and that girl about had a heart attack when Jon pulled the other girl from the fan club onto the stage to dance during "Bed of Roses". It was funny because while this girl was up there dancing with Jon, the other one sitting next to me kept saying "That b*tch! I'm going to kick her @$$!" I couldn't believe it! So, she got up, left her boyfriend sitting there, and ran all the way down to the stage and jumped right on!

Anyway, it was a comical and very fun night, the music was great, the air outside was perfect, and the people just had a great time.

I'm looking forward to my 12th Bon Jovi concert in 2002!
