Lesser of the Two
I was lucky enough to attend both Detroit shows. Unfortunately, those who only came to the Monday night show saw the lesser of the two. Please don't misunderstand, the show was definitely incredible, but to my disappointment was not as solid as the previous night. The set was noticeably shorter omitting Raise Your Hands, Blaze of Glory, Bed of Roses, and the off the cuff version of Twist and Shout. Further, the show ended a half an hour earlier. To the band's credit, they did add Wild Is the Wind along with Captain Crash. However, Jon seemed less electrified than Sunday, and extremely fed up by the time the girl trying to climb on stage knocked the mic stand into him.
While the show ranks in my all time favorites, it falls short of my favorite Bon Jovi shows.
