15 July 2001 - Detroit, MI, USA Concert Review 19 July 2001
One Wild Show

A review by Steve K / sk42295@aol.com

I had previously seen Bon Jovi in Detroit in November on an earlier leg of this tour. As a long time fan, I was pleased to hear a few extra cuts from Slippery When Wet this time around - including Wild in the Streets and Raise Your Hands. An eerie acoustic version of Runaway that was done in November was unfortunately not included this time around. I was in the 3rd row on Dave Bryan's side so the energy was tremendous being that close to them. Jon made sure he split his time between left, right and center and kept the crowd into it all evening. The sell out crowd kept the band coming back for several encores. It appears that we got to see the better of the two Detroit shows based on the reviews of the July 16th show. Bon Jovi hit the stage at slightly past 8:30 and wrapped it up at 11:00 so I felt we definitely got our money's worth. One Wild Night indeed!
