This Is Rock And Roll!
I am not sure where to start with this concert review. This show was absolutely amazing! I have been a BJ fan for fifteen years and have seen them perform several times over that timeframe. This show was up there with the best of them!
The band was simply on fire! From start to finish, the energy, the passion, the fun, the rock and roll just did not slow down. Jon was the ultimate formidable frontman that we know and love, Richie was so switched on and incredible to watch, David was like a man possessed and completely thriving, Tico was a pure rhymthic master and Hugh was smiling and getting into the groove. My personal highlights had to be when Alec John Such joined the band on stage for "Wanted Dead Or Alive". The feeling was electrical. Pure magic! You could actually feel that resonating throughout the crowd. Secondly, when Richie performed "Stranger In This Town" time almost stood still. He is such a talented and gifted individual and it was wonderful to see him do his thing. The emotion that man feels when he plays is mesmorising. The band truly gave their all in Camden and the crowd gave it right back. I don't think anybody wanted the night to end. If this is a prelude to the two shows at Giants Stadium, New Jersey will be shaking to its core on Friday and Saturday nights. I look forward to the adrenalin rush!
(I am originally from Australia, now based in New York. I thought seeing BJ perform last November in New Jersey was huge. Imagine...my first Bon Jovi show outside of my own country and in the band's hometown. I can tell you, this show in Camden on Tuesday night ran all over that performance.)
