8 July 2001 - Milwaukee, WI, USA Concert Review 28 July 2001
Great show!

A review by Laura

As a fan of the Bon Jovi men since 1984 when I was a shy 18 year old, I have come to think of them as a group who has evolved over the past 16 years to a plain, old fashioned kick butt rock and roll band.

Their show in Milwaukee was no exception. I flew all the way from Phoenix to see it and it was such a great time for all of us fans! Jon was awesome as the frontman and played the crowd like a violin! I especially loved the opening song "One Wild Night" because it got everyone on their feet dancing and singing right away and it never stopped. I was concerned at one or two points, however, whe I noticed Jon was drinking a lot of water several times during the songs and actually went on one side of the stage to blow his nose. I thought maybe he had a cold or something, and felt sort of bad for him. When I saw them in Phoenix, I didn't see nearly the amount of water he had been drinking in Milwaukee, so I assumed he wasn't feeling well. But still all in all, the show was a huge success, and the only one I could think of to close out Summerfest! They really are an awesome band, no matter what other critics say. As one of their true fans for 17 years, I'll never stop loving them for the true humans they are and just the best rock band I have ever seen.
