OMG - The Boys Are Back!
One Wild Night! Fastball did a really nice job opening the show and thanked "Jonny Bon Jovi" and the boys for giving them the opportunity to open for them. The lead singer came up behind me in the audience later and rocked with us to Bon Jovi!
From the opening "elevator music" in the beginning of One Wild Night - and watching the boys IN the "elevator" listening to the music and making bored faces (on the big screen) to the last encore - what a show! They left no doubt in any one's mind that the boys are back and better than ever! We heard old and new songs - over a period of about 2 hours and 15 minutes - non-ending enthusiasm and fantastic music! I was able to get into the front row and be on the receiving end of Jon singing to me in several songs - including Born To Be My Baby - my all-time favorite. My friends had to remind me to breath! He danced with no less than 4 girls fortunate enough to be on stage with him - not a bar scene but a section to either side of the stage. Jon was in a GREAT mood and they all seemed to enjoy themselves on their first night of the US tour. Richie's outfit was a colorful eye-opener to say the least, Dave had on silver leather pants, and Tico was in black sparkles! It was a sight to behold! In the crowd was a big surprise - Captain Crash was the former MTV JV - Jesse - all decked out dancing around in the audience - Jon trying to convince him to come dance with him! No fireworks - but LOTS of confetti blown out of huge blowers on either side of the stage - and nice graphics across the back of the stage on huge screens. I don't think they missed too many of the classic hits - no acoustic Runaway this time - but it was definitely a complete show and no one left disappointed.
If you have tickets - you're going to be blown away - if you don't, GET THEM!!!!
