Bon Jovi's second house!
Hey Bon Jovi's fans!
Is everyone okay after friday night's blast?!!!
It's been my fifth BJ concert in Montreal and each and everytime the crowd strikes me. Are we loud or what? No wonder the boys want to be back with us this summer. I learned that Montreal is their second biggest market, right after New Jersey, like if we're kind of their second home!
Another thing shocked me. I had tickets that were pretty close to the stage, in the 8th row. As I entered in the arena, I surprised myself being a little dissapointed that I wasn't on Richie's side! This guy, by his gigantic musical talent, is THAT popular. Even the scalpers sold "sambora side tickets" 300$!!!
As for the show itself, the same old but efficient formula: blasting entrance, sing-along lyrics, powerfull riffs and the boyish looks of Jon who pleases the crowd with his smiles, his recognition to this city and on top of it all, his invitation for july, which by the way made the already screaming crowd go completely nuts!!
A good band make their fan listen to their music, which they enjoy. A great band makes you wanna see it live. Bon Jovi creates, like Pink Floyd or the Stones or U2 does, a sentiment, a felling. You wake up one day and you have a "Bon Jovi feeling", which says it all. To prove all that, you and I still listened to Bon Jovi music during the days after the concert, we day-dreamed a couple of times about the show and we have chills just writting/reading this article. I have a niece who's 10 years old and my mother is 59 and they're always boucing around whenever "prayer" or "everyday" plays!
Only for that intensity created among us by this band, especially in montreal in a live performance, let's hope they'll sing bounce in their wheel chair at the bell center in 2035!! Stay young and take care you all...
By the way, do you know another group or performer who will sell out 18 000 tickets in less than 10 minutes?...
