25 February 2003 - Minneapolis, MN, USA Concert Review 3 March 2003
Bon Jovi = xCellent

A review by Temiken / tombehnke@yahoo.com

What can we really say about the greatest live band that's out there today? It is truely wonderful and amazing how great a show the guys put on. I was at a Springsteen concert last year, in the pit and two feet away from The Boss and I came away somewhat disappointed.

Last Tuesday, I was a full fifteen rows away from Bon Jovi and I know that I will not see a better show in my lifetime unless, of course, it's put on from by the boys from Jersey.

I'm sure most everyone knows about the stage set up, but it's awe inspiring to see it in person. The satellites, laser beams...etc. It's just so damn sexy.

Speaking of sexy, is there a better 1 / 2 duo than Jon and Richie? (The correct answer is No). It felt like I was at an N'sync concert with all of the cat calls being screamed at towards the boys. And it wasn't just from the girls. One guy even stood up on his chair and took his shirt off. What a clow! (Alright, that was actually me, but I couldn't help it). I think I got Jon's attention and I'm sure he thought it was funny, but he didn't react with a smile. I'm sure he doesn't want to encourage that type of behavior from male fans.

Ok, on to the music. The setlist was pretty much the same as it's been all tour except it looks like we were the first show to get Keep The Faith. On the downside, we got screwed out of hearing "Right Side Of Wrong". Instead, we got "Joey". We did, however, get three encores because we were a wonderful and energetic crowd.

Overall, I'm completely satisfied and overwhelmed with my experience. I forsee myself going into serious financial problems because I plan on spending a lot of ca$h to go another show this year.

Thanks to Bon Jovi for simply making my life better.
