9 March 2003 - Washington, D.C, USA Concert Review 11 March 2003
wrong again

A review by RichiesF'nSweetT-Shirt / JAllard3@aol.com

Andrew,
If you would like to stop wasting other reader's time and have an honest debate with me about either your point about the crowd in DC being good, or the point of the t-shirt I will be happy to do so. E-Mail me....my e-mail has been at the top of all my posts and I am happy to defend my points anytime. I see that you took your second post of the review page....why was that? Perhaps because it made no sense and directly contradicted your first post. As to your latest post about BonJovi not losing fans over the wearing of a t-shirt. My point was very simply that there was no need, all that could happen is to alienate some and potentially lose fans. If there was no clear message attached to it (which there was not) it made no sense. All that you are going to do is possibly anger people in the audience that may take is as an afront to their point of view. I personally did not care. I do, however, get concerned when people (like you) decide that it WAS a political statement when it actually may not have been. Lastly.....they DID lose fans and there is proof. There was mention of it this morning on a Baltimore radio station and they were talking about the stir it caused (if you noticed, the crowd was very quiet during the first 2 songs of the encore). The debate raged and several people called in and said that there was no place for it and that they weren't going to go see them again. I admit, we are probably talking about a small percentage of people. But, if you are a band that is about the fans, supported heavily by loyal fans, and has had their problems drawing in the past why do it......there was no good to come of it. Lastly....to all the people that have given the GooGooDolls a bad rap....please stop. They are not, and will never be, as good as Bon Jovi...we know that. But, they come on stage and present some very good material in a pretty solid way. They are humble and thankful of the opportunity that they were given. Besides....we could have SR71 or EvE6 again, who wants that.
